Creative Futures Academy has been awarded a total of €315,640 from the Human Capital Initiative HCI Pillar 3 Micro-Credentials Subsidy funding. The subsidies are allocated across twenty-four courses, twelve in the National College of Art & Design and twelve at the Institute of Art Design + Technology, Dun Laoghaire.
The courses on offer meet a range of priority skills needs including climate and digital skills for creatives. Creative Futures Academy continues to build its portfolio of flexible micro-credentialed learning opportunities that are accessible to learners at all stages of their career.
CFA Director, Louise Allen, welcomed the funding announcement which will have a significant impact on the number of people able to participate in life-long learning. Subsidies will range from 50 – 80% of the total course costs for eligible learners. Applications are now open for a number of courses with more coming on-stream in late 2024 and 2025.

Micro-credential courses are small, accredited courses designed to meet the demands of learners, enterprise and society. Micro-credential courses award between 1 and 30 ECTS and provide awards at Levels 6-9 on the National Framework of Qualifications. CFA are delighted to offer micro-credential courses at two of our three partner institutions: IADT & NCAD.
