‘I actually think after doing the course I am quite keen to work in film. I currently work in television, for RTÉ, but more from an operations point of view. After doing this course, I think I would really like to get into production on filmsets. That’s why I found it so interesting to hear what an AD does, I think that’s something that would really appeal to me… I’d love a job that was really hands-on. I’ve always enjoyed being the person that someone goes to when they have a query or a question. I’ve always enjoyed the scheduling aspect, so now that I have budgeting under my belt I think I’ll definitely look into those roles now’.

I 100% feel that what I’ve learned has already influenced the way that I problem-solve, my ability to look at the bigger picture of a production, and how to approach things with a more nuanced perspective. It has not made me want to pursue a different role, it has actually really solidified that production and production management is the role and the department that appeals to me and my strengths the most’.
