Drop by and see some of our fantastical creatures in IADT as part of CFA’s launch programme! 

18th – 19th November, IADT

Drop by and see some of our fantastical creatures, created as part of our Design for Technical Arts Workshop which ran in Spiddal between May and June 2022. The ten impressive, life-size character busts will be on display in IADT for all to see, showcasing the talent of our students and staff. The busts will be on display from 10am-5pm on Friday 18th and from 10am-4pm on Saturday 19th, which is IADT’s Open Day.

CFA piloted the end-to-end (from story to realisation) character design workshop in Telegael, Spiddal. Run by Paul McDonnell from IADT in partnership with Gréasán na Meán Skillnet, the pilot was developed to test:

• professional skills and learner frameworks for accreditation;
• digital technologies for immersive environments;
• learner appetite for incremental skills training;
• stakeholder analysis on skills and competency needs;
• create asynchronous T&L resources;
• to trial collaboration between education and industry.
