Design Declares Ireland marked just over two years since its official launch with a sold-out event, “Redefining Good,” hosted on Wednesday, March 25th at Hen’s Teeth in Dublin. This event celebrated the recognition and reward of sustainable and regenerative design excellence in industry.
Louise Allen, Director of Creative Futures Academy was honored to feature as an educational leader on one of the panels sharing her learnings from leading the Creative Boardroom programme throughout 2024 and 2025. The project won the overall award in the Education and Research category at The IDI Awards 2025.
Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate was a pioneering, all-island initiative addressing the urgent challenge of climate change through creative collaboration and leadership. It comprised of the delivery of several design thinking workshops for the Chartered Director and student communities, a travelling Exhibition designed using sustainable design principles and the release of the ‘Creative Climate Conversations Guide’ which suggested design thinking tools to help to facilitate conversations that may lead to action on the impacts of climate change all demonstrating the power of using design for good.

Join us for an uplifting evening as we look back on the last two years since the launch of Design Declares Ireland and celebrate the meaningful work emerging from our community.
Through Act 5: Redefine Good, we aim to encourage, recognise and reward sustainable and regenerative design excellence in our industry.
The event will take a conversational approach rather than a traditional presentation format. Each speaker will have 5–10 minutes to share a selected project or updates on sustainability initiatives within their practice, followed by a short discussion with the host and you, the audience.
Expect an insightful and engaging reflection on impactful projects from across the community, that will inspire your own practice, wherever you are at on your journey to designing more sustainably. The more we learn from each other, the greater our impact can be.
Design Declares is an initiative of the Institute of Designers Ireland and 100 Archive, and is funded thanks to support from Creative Ireland.
