BA Students and postgrads from all three CFA institutions (UCD, IADT and NCAD) are warmly welcomed to “Playing with the Page,” the third in our 2026 Slow Media Workshop Series. We’ll gather at UCD’s Newman Building on December 4th, from 10am-1pm.

Participants will learn about bookbinding and found poetry. Together, we will consider what it means to design and build the language, folds, and shapes of books by hand. The workshop will explore the connections between academic and creative work and find value in slowing down to think through making. We look forward to forging new connections between our institutions and academic and creative practices.

This free workshop will be led by expert bookbinder Éilís Murphy of Folded Leaf Press and Kate Fama and Lucy Collins of UCD English, Drama, and Film. All materials will be provided and no experience is necessary! Participants will leave with handmade books and writings. Space is limited, please email katherine.fama@ucd.ie to register.
