Taking place as part of Irish Design Week (an annual, nationwide multi-disciplinary festival convened by the Design & Crafts Council Ireland, DCCI), this session looks at print design and publishing through Issue XII of New Word Order.

New Word Order is a literary journal produced through UCD’s Literary Editorship class, led by Executive Editor Dr. Jonathan C. Creasy with design partner Rossi McAuley of Distinctive Repetition. Produced in partnership between the Creative Futures Academy, University College Dublin and the National College of Art and Design, the issue offers a concrete case study of what institutions gain when they invest in creative and cultural production.

Join us from 6pm on Monday 9 November 2026, at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, where we will discuss how partnerships across institutions benefit students and faculty, how they can build frameworks for the cultural industries, and how the value of print design and publishing can be made clear to policymakers, investors, and the public.
