We had a energising start to our first in-person DISCOVER session of this programme took place this week at the IDA Ireland offices in Dublin city centre.
Almost 50 Chartered Directors and CFA students came together along with keynote speakers from the sustainability sector to collaborate using design and systems thinking tools to address the Climate Emergency. Laura Burke, Secretary General of the EPA updated participants on policy, priorities and progress that Ireland is making. The group also met Niall McCaffrey, Director, Ipsos Ireland who gave a perspective on the urgency to act.
From the Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate team we had Gwen Cunningham, Sustainability and Circularity Lead at NCAD give a systems deep dive on textiles. Following this Lara Hanlon, Design Thinking Lecturer at IADT shared the power of Design and Systems Thinking in tackling wicked problems and gave a deep-dive on agri-food systems.
