About

Publishing Ireland have launched their new “Published in Ireland” micro-site. This site will serve as a much needed platform to promote and celebrate books that have been published in Ireland.

Publishing Ireland is a membership organisation founded in 1970 as CLÉ (Irish Book Publishers’ Association) and their aim is to share expertise, resources and opportunities to promote and foster excellence in Irish publishing. They represent book publishers from throughout the island of Ireland. Publishing Ireland members are at the heart of their mission and they have over fifty members across trade, general and academic publishers.

In recent years, Irish publishers have faced a number of unprecedented challenges including the Covid-19 pandemic, Brexit, paper shortages, transport delays and a rise in the cost of living. Despite these challenges, Irish publishers pulled together and created new ways of doing business, backed by the strong support of Publishing Ireland.
