Creative Futures Academy was delighted to attend an information event exploring MicroCreds and the role short flexible learning opportunities can play in helping businesses to address their skills needs at the Dublin City Council Civic Offices, Wood Quay on Thursday 6th March.
Hosted by the Dublin Regional Skills Forum, as part of Dublin City Local Enterprise Week, in collaboration with the MicroCreds Project based at the Irish Universities Association and MicroQuals based at SOLAS (An tSeirbhís Oideachais Leanúnaigh agus Scileanna).
This session sought to empower businesses with the knowledge of how to future proof their workforce through short, flexible subsidised/funded creative courses like those that we offer at CFA across our 3 campuses: NCAD, IADT and UCD. Both panels offered great insights into the opportunities & potential growth for learners in this space.
Creative Futures Academy continues to build its portfolio of flexible micro-credentialed learning opportunities that are accessible to learners at all stages of their career with subsidies from Higher Education Authority will range from 50 – 80% of the total course costs for eligible learners.
Micro-credential courses are small, accredited courses designed to meet the demands of learners, enterprise and society. Micro-credential courses award between 1 and 30 ECTS and provide awards at Levels 6-9 on the National Framework of Qualifications
