Creative Futures Academy (CFA) are delighted to announce our brand new podcast series – Makers and Creators: The Creative Futures Academy Podcast – this week!

This six-part pilot podcast series tells the story of Creative Futures Academy, through its creators and educators. Each episode focuses on a lecturer / practitioner at IADT, UCD and NCAD teaching across a wide range of creative practice – fashion, music, film, media, art and drama.

What is their practice? How did they get there? How can they help up and coming creative practitioners?

This is about sharing stories and examining creative practice in both the professional and learning environments.

Each 25-minute episode explores different professional journeys and teaching practice in creative education. These episodes provide the context for introducing Creative Futures Academy, a space that develops opportunities for those working in the creative and cultural industries to train, network and develop in their creative practice.

Our first podcast will be released across on Spotify on Friday 24th May 2024! It will feature and interview with Peter O’Brien, Fashion and Costume Designer for Film and Theatre and lecturer in Design for Film at IADT.

A podcast will then be released each Friday thereafter with exciting guests including Theatre and Festival-maker Jenny Jennings, Broadcaster David Cooper, Artist Jennie Moran, Musician Dr. Peter Moran and Filmaker Vanessa Gildea.

Join us each week to listen and learn about their journeys and how to feed the spark of imagination and creativity within each and every one of us!
