A resource for you to return to throughout your time at UCD to answer questions about your programme. It’ll help you make the big decisions during your degree (like what subjects to take in second year, whether to study abroad, or how to spend your third year as a BA Humanities student). And it will answer your questions about things like how to register, what your GPA means, why electives are important, who to ask for help when you need it, and best of all it’s filled with advice from other students.
UCD Connect provides you with easy access to services including SISWeb (the UCD Student Information System), your UCD email account and unlimited Google Drive storage.
You will have received notification of your UCD Student number via email. Your student number will be your username for the duration of your time in UCD; you can log in to all UCD services (email, Brightspace, the library, etc) using your student number and your password. You can reset your password at any time by using the UCD Password Self Service tool.
Check your UCD Connect email account regularly. This is UCD’s main communication channel with students and will be used by your tutors, lecturers, Registry, and Creative Futures Academy team. It is where you will receive important emails about your time as a student in UCD.
It is crucial that you read your emails regularly and follow-up on actions if necessary. All students have an obligation to regularly check their UCD email accounts. Please ensure to include your student number when communicating with the staff and faculty, and ensure that your reply email address is functional.
Any queries about module content or assessment can be directed to your module coordinator. They may have weekly office hours and can be contacted by email in the first instance. You can contact our UCD CFA coordinator at ucd@creativefuturesacademy.ie.
