"I thought I should upskill in what the world really needs right now – more podcasts! Joking aside, I'm very glad to have stepped out of my comfort zone and to have completed the Certificate in Radio and Podcast Production course at Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Creative Futures Academy! It was liberating to tell stories in a new way and focus on creative ways to use sound. It was a great class group, and we were lucky to have Francesca Lalor generously share her passion for production and storytelling with us, and Shea Fitzgerald to guide us through the editing process. There are so many possibilities in audio and I hope to continue learning and creating in this medium. So if you see me standing alone with my phone aloft, I'm probably just trying to capture the perfect birdsong or a decent footstep ... "
