The Institute of Directors in Ireland, Institute of Directors Northern Ireland are joining forces with Creative Futures Academy, to undertake the Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate initiative.
Ireland has set ambitious targets for all of business and society, as part of our National Climate Action Plan. While the commitment to climate change is overt, implementation is inevitably challenging. To meet Ireland’s net-zero and ecological goals, we need to rethink ‘business as usual’ and pivot to new models of behaviour to achieve green, digital and social transition. The full engagement and creative brain power of current leaders and the future generation holds out the possibility of imagining real, positive, and impactful change.
Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate is a partnership project between CFA, the Institute of Directors Ireland (IoD), and the Institute of Directors in Northern Ireland funded through Creative Ireland’s Climate Action & Shared Island fund.
Our aim is to impact behaviours and attitudes. Using an iterative process, this programme will develop strategies that promote change within Directors’ direct spheres of influence, and beyond their immediate authority, both as leaders and community collaborators.
Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate seeks to harness the intergenerational expertise and collective imagination of Ireland’s Chartered Director and CFA student communities. This initiative aims to generate dynamic and creative solutions that can meaningfully address the complex environmental and social challenges that we currently face as a result of climate change. Creative Boardroom brings together Chartered Directors, and students in NCAD and IADT who will use design thinking methodologies, to address the significant challenges that the climate urgency presents.
