UCD Festival 2022

11/06/2022 Shauna Kelly

The UCD Festival is a fun-filled day and showcases the very best of UCD through performances, engaging talks, hands-on science, interactive exhibits and so much more.

The UCD Creative Futures Academy are delighted to invite you to the UCD Festival, which will take place on Saturday 11th June.

The UCD Festival is a day when we open our doors to the friends and families of our local community, staff, students and alumni, providing an opportunity to see behind the scenes, discover something new and meet our students and world-class academics. We would be delighted to welcome you to Belfield to see first-hand some of our breakthrough discoveries and how UCD is addressing societal challenges.

The Creative Futures Academy are delighted to be part of the UCD Festival where we will be showcasing student work, and celebrating creativity and culture.

The UCD Creative Futures Academy has three exciting offerings in the Culture Zone;

The Sounds of Belfield: a self-guided digital audio tour of Belfield, created by students on the Producing Music, Film and Drama module, capturing the emotions, impressions and experiences that blend together to evoke the student experience at UCD. This self-guided tour of the campus will run all day, 12 noon-6pm.

Student Short Film Showcase with Mark O’Halloran: a showcase of films from the MA Writing for Stage and Screen. Mentored by Mark O’Halloran, our CFA Screenwriter in Residence, their films will be premiered at the Festival.

The Flourishing Screening, a celebration of the musicians behind the Irish folk music revival.

You can register for these free events via the links provided.

In addition to these events, there are still some tickets available for the Screen and Stage Writing Panel (featuring Mark O’Halloran), and plenty more to explore across the campus.
